DRISHTIQ Private Instruction

Are you new or newer to yoga? Or have you been practicing awhile and are now interested in taking your practice further? DRISHTIQ teachers are available to provide you personal attention during a private lesson at a time of your choosing. Private instruction can be 45 minutes- 60 minutes in length and are a perfect addition to your weekly practice to focus on your individual goals.

 

Members can add 1 private per month additional membership option $50 per month (billed automatically, 30 days cancellation) to their current membership plan.   Non-members or members who don’t want the monthly membership option can buy a Single Private -$75, 3 Privates Package $210, 5 Privates Package $325 and 10 Privates Package $650.

DRISHTIQ’s signature flow is designed to make you feel good in your body. A combination of Vinyasas with deep stretching postures in a Warm 80-85degree, or Hot 90-95degree room with a signature DRISHTIQ vibe~fun for EVERY body.  Don’t take yourself too seriously, Honor the Light Within you ~ try a DRISHTIQ signature flow class.

YIN AND YANG FLOW

YIN AND YANG FLOW

A warm & balanced, respectful practice for students. Flow with grace and ease for 1/2 an hour focusing on alignment and the subtleties of the asana, flowing with the rhythm of the breath. Then winding down the class for the last 1/2 hour, settling in to YIN where we hold the postures longer and settle deeper into the connective tissues & joints. Love your body, increase flexibility, decrease stress…leave refreshed!

WARM VINYASA

WARM VINYASA

The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic sequence of traditional poses linked by breath. It integrates awareness, alignment, balance, strength, flexibility and grace. Designed for students interested in transitioning into Heated Yoga classes, this class caters to both the novice and the advanced heated student. Both will find this class welcoming and challenging. In this class the studio is heated to a warm and comfortable temperature to allow a deeper stretch.

Room is heated 75-85 degrees.

*Please note: children under the age of 12 are not permitted to attend a heated class until they have attended 3 non-heated classes with parental supervision.

Enjoy an energetic yoga class that uses a flowing series of postures to create heat within the body as you increase strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. Power Vinyasa Flow is good for new students who are physically active, those interested in the fitness benefits of yoga, and anyone who wants to dive in to a multi-level yet strong practice. This class will focus on building up to more advanced postures such as inversions and arm balances as well and is typically accompanied by a warm room and upbeat music.

An introductory yet “EMpowerful” class that will inspire and empower students…. Teenagers face some some pretty demanding & stressful situations and times these days… Yoga is a great tool and practice to turn inside, get to know your body, mind your mind, turn negative thoughts around to positive, tap into your breath to be able to breathe through situations, stress, pain, and even to help in your favorite sport!!! A vinyasa style class where students will learn to move with breath, the fundamental yoga postures and beyond in a supportive and non-competitive atmosphere, increase flexibility, strength and focus, build self-esteem and learn how to reduce stress through practicing yoga on and off the mat. Proper alignment in postures, relaxation techniques and breath work will all be covered in this 60 minute class. Fun music, inspirational and upbeat…

GENTLE YOGA FLOW

GENTLE YOGA FLOW

This class is great for everyone! It will include foundational breathing exercises and postures (standing, seated and stretching on the floor). Gentle yoga is great for the body and mind to calm & center you. A gentle class is also beneficial for improving your health and well-being. Easy on the shoulders and great for beginners!!! A great practice to compliment any workout, yoga styles, or to simply ease into the practice of yoga. Try a gentle class and feel nurtured, supported and de-stressed.   Room is 70-80 degrees

RESTORATIVE YOGA

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative: A deeply relaxing practice, this class combines supported poses, guided relaxation, yogic breathing, and an extended savasana. This meditative practice cultivates a necessary balance between body and mind while dissolving physical and mental tension. Expect to leave feeling delightfully relaxed, renewed, and restored! Designed for any level student seeking to reduce stress and alleviate its impact on the body.

PRIVATE YOGA SESSIONS

You may want to schedule private sessions for yourself to work one-on-one with a DRISHTIQ Yoga Instructor. This is especially effective when you are a beginner, working with any limitations so you can adapt postures when attending public classes or more advanced and want to take your practice to the next level.  Perhaps you want to learn a specific posture, work on opening a particular area of the body or you need advice and support in developing your home practice.   How about a private yoga class for yourself, with a group of your friends, with your networking group or with colleagues?

PRENATAL YOGA

PRENATAL YOGA

Prenatal Yoga is billed as a Workshop and meets once a week.

Pregnant mothers in all trimesters are invited to join this class designed to promote health and well-being to expectant mothers and their growing wombs.  Gentle flow and stretching during pregnancy can help mothers combat some of the physical and emotional stresses of nurturing herself and her baby.  Studies have shown that prenatal yoga can have positive effects on a mother’s quality of sleep, reduce stress and anxiety.  In this class we will explore breathing techniques, modified asanas using blankets and cushions for added support and comfort, and relaxation techniques useful during labor and delivery.  A yogi mother will be able to foster an inner confidence and intuitive wisdom that will transfer to her growing child inside.  Happy Mother, Happy Baby!

MOONLIGHT YIN

MOONLIGHT YIN

Wind down with this evening class designed for yogis of all levels to reconnect with the body and calm the mind.  This class offers a sequence of asanas that will build strength, increase flexibility, and promote relaxation.  In listening to the body, the yogi is invited to challenge the body but always giving it what it needs in return.  The effects of the asanas can leave you feeling energized and focused building vitality and confidence helping you breathe a little easier!

From time to time DRISHTIQ will offer Kids Yoga Programs. We offer a Kids Yoga Camp each summer, and 6 week Kids Yoga workshops.

Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem, body awareness and compassion that can last a lifetime. It also increases flexibility and strength while fostering concentration and improving a sense of calmness. In this class, children are encouraged to use their imaginations while exploring creative movement and yoga. Through a creative mix of music, stories and yoga-based games, your child will practice this fun yet challenging noncompetitive form of physical fitness. Ages 3-8.

HIIT YOGA

HIIT YOGA

High Intensity Interval Training mixed with a yoga flow.  This hybrid yoga class will consist of short bursts of cardiovascular intervals (such as push ups, jump lunges, squats, etc.) mixed with yoga asanas to build strength and endurance.  This class will be a workout yet will have all the flexibility and mental components of a traditional vinyasa flow class.

FUNDAMENTALS OF YOGA

FUNDAMENTALS OF YOGA

This class introduces asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), meditation, and yogic philosophy to those new to the practice of yoga. Detailed instruction is given emphasizing proper alignment, modifications, and adjustments in order for students to develop a safer yoga practice catered to the individual experience.
