BE KIND. WORK HARD. STAY HUMBLE. SMILE OFTEN

I discovered that yoga is a gift that is available to me and anyone willing to practice. My yoga journey began decades ago following a car accident in which I injured my lower back and neck. After several months of practice, following the accident, my pain began to subside. Yoga helped me to tune in to my body’s needs so that I could manage lower back pain, increase mobility, and tap into a sense of calm. I’ve been practicing yoga regularly ever since!

For the past several years, I’ve shared my love for yoga with my special needs students to aid with coping, calming, and focusing. The students in my classroom receive so many benefits from yoga (i.e. dealing with stress, calming, improving focus, exercise, deep breathing). Anyone, kids, persons with disabilities, etc. can access yoga. I truly believe that yoga is for everyone. And, anyone can practice yoga.

My yoga journey also led me to Drishtiq to build my knowledge on the foundations and principles of yoga. The wonderful instructors, at Drishtiq, and the yogis within the community are incredible! I received my 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training Certification at Drishtiq Yoga Studio in 2019. I am thankful for this community and thrilled to share my experiences with others at the studio.
