Weave this beautiful practice into your daily life
We all encounter obstacles in life. As a mother to a child that uses a wheelchair, life has presented its share of unforeseen challenges for me and my family. By the time my daughter was 8 years old, the repetitive task of lifting and carrying her and her equipment was taking a toll on my body. At the age of 40, I was experiencing chronic pain in my hip and feared I would not be able to keep up with the physical requirements of being her mom as she, and I, got older. Thankfully, I turned to yoga 7 years ago and discovered a whole new sense of balance and wellness. As I dove deeper into my practice, I began to notice greater flexibility and strength in my entire body. Best of all, I no longer had the aching pain in my hip! I now enjoy all the physical aspects of a regular yoga practice, as well as, yoga’s ability to calm the mind, rejuvenate the spirit and help balance life. As a teacher, I look forward to weaving similar benefits of this beautiful practice into the daily lives of others, whatever obstacles they may face.
